Day 1 – Arrival in Vilnius & The Spirit of Užupis

Arrival in Vilnius. Optional transfer to Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva** or similar. Check-in and overnight.

Meet your local guide and enjoy a first walking tour of Vilnius Old Town, including the artistic and vibrant Užupis district — often called the city’s “independent republic.” This bohemian quarter has its own constitution, proudly displayed on the Užupis Constitution Wall.

Stop at the iconic Angel of Užupis sculpture and learn about the creative spirit that defines this unique neighborhood.

Day 2 – Vilnius: History, Faith & Local Flavours

Breakfast at the hotel.

Guided walking tour of Vilnius Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights include:

• Cathedral Square and Vilnius Cathedral, the spiritual heart of Lithuania

• Funicular ride to Gediminas Castle Tower, offering panoramic views over the city

• Vilnius University Ensemble and St. John’s Church, one of the oldest universities in Eastern Europe (founded in 1579)

• Presidential Palace, the official residence of the President of Lithuania

• Gate of Dawn and the Gothic masterpiece St. Anne’s Church

Visit Hales Turgus, Vilnius’ historic food market, housed in red-brick market halls from the early 20th century. Discover products made by Lithuanian farmers following traditional recipes and enjoy a tasting of the national dessert Šakotis.

Optional: Dinner at a traditional Lithuanian restaurant with local dishes and beverages.

Day 3 – Trakai & Kaunas: Castles, Traditions & Panoramas

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning panoramic tour of Vilnius, including a visit to the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, a Baroque masterpiece famous for its interior decorated with more than 2,000 sculptures.

Travel to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania. Visit the iconic Trakai Island Castle, located on an island in Lake Galvė, and explore the museum dedicated to the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

Walk through the town and discover the wooden Karaim houses and the Kenesa (Karaim temple). Taste the local Karaim specialty kibinai, introduced to Lithuania centuries ago.

Enjoy a boat ride on Lake Galvė, offering beautiful views of the castle and surrounding nature.

Continue to Kaunas, Lithuania’s temporary capital between 1920 and 1940. Guided walk through the Old Town, including:

• Kaunas Castle (14th century)

• Town Hall Square

• Vytautas the Great Church

• Perkūnas House, a rare example of Gothic merchant architecture

Stroll along Laisvės Alėja (Liberty Avenue), one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets. Ride the historic Aleksotas Funicular (1935) to Aleksotas Hill for the best panoramic view of Kaunas.

Return to Vilnius.

Day 4 – Vilnius at Leisure & Departure

• Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights (KGB Museum)
