Weekend in Tallinn "From Medieval Magic to Modern Marvels" 4 days/3 nights
Day 1. Timeless Tallinn – The Magic of the Old Town
Arrival in Tallinn, Estonia’s enchanting capital.
Optional transfer to Park Inn by Radisson Meriton Spa Hotel Tallinn** (city center) or a similar hotel. Check in and have a short rest after the journey.
Meet your local guide for a welcome introduction followed by a guided walking tour of Tallinn’s Upper Old Town. Once home to knights, merchants, and noble families, this remarkably preserved medieval quarter feels like a journey back in time. Wander along cobblestone streets surrounded by historic towers, merchant houses, and city walls that have shaped Tallinn’s story for centuries.
Day 2. Trendy Tallinn – Modern Culture, Art & Lifestyle
Breakfast at the hotel.
Enjoy a guided walking tour of downtown Tallinn, discovering key landmarks such as the Gothic Town Hall (the only one of its kind in Northern Europe), St. Olaf’s Church, the 13th-century Toompea Castle (seat of the Estonian Parliament), and the magnificent Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (entrance included). Take in panoramic views from the city’s viewing platforms and explore artisan studios tucked into the Old Town.
Continue with a short walk to Balti Jaama Turg (Tallinn Central Market). Experience Estonia’s eco-friendly local culture with products from farms and forests: fresh fish, cheeses, handicrafts, vintage finds, and authentic Estonian street food.
The tour continues to Kalamaja District, once a historic fishermen’s harbor and now Tallinn’s bohemian heart. Admire its colorful wooden houses, art studios, and cozy cafés. Walk onward to Telliskivi Creative City, filled with designer shops, street art, galleries, and creative spaces.
Later, visit the revitalized Rotermann Quarter, where historic warehouses blend seamlessly with contemporary architecture, trendy cafés, craft breweries, Michelin-listed restaurants, and modern urban lifestyle.
Day 3. Nature Escape – Lahemaa National Park
Breakfast at the hotel.
Begin the day with a city walk through Kadriorg Park & Palace, a stunning Baroque ensemble founded by Peter the Great, surrounded by landscaped gardens and tranquil pathways.
Depart for Lahemaa National Park, Estonia’s largest and most scenic protected area. The first stop is Jägala Waterfall, the highest natural waterfall in the country. Continue to Käsmu Village, known as the “Captain’s Village” for its rich maritime heritage, followed by a visit to Altja Fishing Village, showcasing traditional coastal life.
Visit Palmse Manor (entrance included), one of Estonia’s finest Baroque manors. Enjoy a guided tour of the beautifully restored manor house, historic buildings, gardens, and open-air museum illustrating centuries of manor life.
End the day immersed in nature with a beach stroll and exploration of Viru Bog, a magical wetland landscape. Walk along wooden boardwalks through this unique ecosystem, experiencing the peaceful beauty of Estonia’s wilderness.
